JMIR Diabetes Receives Inaugural Journal Impact Factor

(Toronto, ON, June 19, 2025) JMIR Publications is pleased to announce that JMIR Diabetes has achieved its inaugural Journal Impact Factor of 2.6, as published in the Journal Citation Reports 2025 by Clarivate. JMIR Diabetes debuts in the second quartile (Q2) of the “Health Care Science & Services” category (ranked 70/185) and also is ranked in the “Endocrinology & Metabolism” category. 

This significant milestone highlights the growing influence and relevance of research studies focusing on emerging technologies, medical devices, apps, sensors, and informatics in aiding individuals with diabetes.

The inaugural impact factor for JMIR Diabetes reinforces the journal’s role as a key platform for advancing knowledge in this critical field. This achievement underscores the collective commitments and contributions of authors, peer reviewers, editors, and journal staff, along with the dedicated leadership of the journal’s co–editors in chief, Ricardo Correa, MD, EdD, FACE, FACP, FACMQ, clinical professor of medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, and Sheyu Li, MD, associate professor in the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism, MAGIC China Center, West China Hospital, Sichuan University.
